Relax as you paddle on a guided tour of the Waccamaw River.
Many customers prefer to take a guided tour because they are inexperienced kayakers and are unfamiliar with our waters. All tours are led by the owners, Kipp and Anna, true locals born and raised in the area who love kayaking. Regardless of your experience, we strive to make your tour enjoyable from beginning to end.
We Offer:
*Single and tandem kayaks, PFD's (personal flotation devices), and paddles. Our most common question is "Will my kayak flip?" Please do not allow this misconception about kayaks prevent you from paddling with us. Our kayaks are stable, easy to enter/exit, and we take precautions to ensure no flipping!
*Clear and encouraging paddling instruction and safety procedures. Learn how easy it is to participate in one of the fastest growing outdoor activities in the nation!
*A knowledgeable and friendly guide who will navigate your tour while offering interesting tidbits of history and nature.
Tours are approximately 3 hours long. We take a break halfway through the trip to stretch our legs and get refreshed for the return trip.
RENTALS
Be adventurous and explore on your own! Take advantage of our convenient launching site beside our shop. We will provide all the equipment you need for an enjoyable paddle.
All kayakers are encouraged to wear clothing and shoes suitable for getting wet! Sunglasses, sunscreen, water and snacks are also recommended.
